Southwest Oncology Centers is seeking a PET/CT technologist for either its Yuma or Bullhead City locations. Full time.
Responsibilities: Prepares and administers PET isotopes for diagnostic purposes. Operates the PET/CT equipment to produce quality diagnostic images for review and interpretation by a radiologist. Maintains mandatory records established by the Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency (ARRA). Upholds ACR standards and maintains accreditation.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited program for nuclear medicine required.
Additional Qualifications: One year of PET/CT experience (including clinical experience) preferred. Dual certification in CT preferred. (The successful candidate will be expected to obtain CT certification if not already competed.)
Knowledge and technical competence with PET/CT equipment and procedures required.
Training in radiation safety, operation of equipment, preparation, handling, and administration of radiopharmaceuticals required.
Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service required.
Ability to adjust standard procedures required.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, making decisions and directing work and patient flow to maximize operational efficiency required.
Detail oriented, strong organizational skills required; experience with computers preferred.
License or Certification: NMTCB or ARRT(N) and Arizona MRTBE-CNMT.
Basic Life Support Certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Competency.
