A Word from Susan Gavel, CNMT, Chair, Continuing Education
The SNM and the PSWTC continue to develop continuing education programs designed to meet the differing needs of the nuclear medicine community. You'll find meeting dates ranging from one day to one week.
The PSWTC continues to host 2-3 meetings each year including:
- July: Viva Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, NV.
- December: Cardiff 'Mickey' Williams Memorial Meeting at the City of Hope, Duarte, CA
- Rotational Meetings in the Spring of each year:
- San Diego (2008)
- Los Angeles (2009)
- Phoenix/Tucson (2010)
The SNM's Mid-Winter and Annual meetings provide continuing education credit as well as information and exhibits on the latest developments in nuclear medicine technology. Visit the SNM's website at www.snm.org for future dates/times.
CE credit can also be obtained by reading the CE articles in the JNMT or the JNM, then completing the quiz on-line or mailing the quiz to the central office (Note: a score of 80% is required for CE credit). Members, if you complete the quiz on-line, this service is free; however, if you mail the quiz to the central office, there will be an administrative fee of $5 to correct and post your VOICE credits. Non-members will pay a $10 administrative fee whether they complete the quiz on-line or mail it to the central office.
For those of you unable to attend local or national meetings, be sure to visit the SNM website at http://interactive.snm.org/index.cfm?PageID=25&RPID=10 for available educational products.
The PSWTC is always looking for new sites for educational programs. How about volunteering your facility for an educational program? For questions or information, please call Susan Gavel, CNMT (818) 676-4107 [1:00PM - 3:30PM PDT].
